Easier Than You Think – Selling Stuff Online is No Longer a Chore

Spring is on the horizon and with it comes the opportunity to give your bedroom, house or garage a good clean. And if you aren’t exactly excited about the thought of trawling through all your belongings, you might be interested to know that all those unwanted and unused items that are hanging around in your loft or spare room could be making you a bit of spare cash instead. Having a much-needed spring clean could mean putting some extra money in your pocket. When it comes to making some money from unwanted items, one of the best ways to gain that extra cash is to sell your stuff online.

There are a number of ways you can go about it, from listing your items in online classifieds to selling them through one of the many auction sites. However, many of these options have problems such as having to spend time setting up accounts and photographing and displaying each item individually or having to be at home when potential buyers come to view. It comes as no surprise that the new range of online selling sites are much easier to use, letting you sell all your items at once and in one place.

There are now a number of online sites that let you sell your stuff for cash, so it helps to do a bit of research and find the best site for you. Many of these sites specialize in certain areas such as used vehicles or old mobile phones, but if you have a selection of different things you may prefer to use a site that will buy a range of items such as CD’s, games, clothes and electrical goods, for example.

Once you have decided which site to use, the process is surprisingly easy. Gather together all the items you want to sell and then use your computer’s webcam or your mobile phone’s camera to scan the bar code of each item. Alternatively, you can enter the bar code by hand. When you have entered all your unwanted goods into the valuation tool you should receive a quote for everything you wish to sell. If you’re happy you can choose to go ahead with the sale, in which case you will be given a per addressed free-post box to put all your goods into. You can then take the box to your local post office or in many cases take advantage of a free courier service.

Once your items have been received and checked, you will have your money sent to you straight away. Again, there are lots of choices as to how you receive your payment, from a cheque through the post to an instant payment via bank transfer or e-vouchers. You can even make a donation to your chosen charity. The process is easy and can be used again and again, making it a great way to free up some space while making some much needed cash.
